Maui Wowi Floats Into The Preakness Celebration Balloon Festival

Maui Wowi Hawaiian gets airborne for the Preakness Celebration Balloon Festival, May 16-18 in Ellicott City, Maryland. Local Franchisee of the coffee and smoothie company, Mike Pyne, will be a first time vendor at the event, which he has been going to as a spectator since he was a young boy. The balloon festival will take place over three days and is one of many events that will celebrate the 138th running of the Preakness Stakes. The annual sporting event is the middle jewel of thoroughbred horse racing’s Triple Crown. The balloon festival will feature over 20 hot air balloons, vendors, crafts, and local entertainment.
Pyne will add to the excitement from behind his tiki hut style cart, as he blends up made-to-order fresh fruit smoothies and premium Hawaiian Kona blend coffee. He will have hot cups ready for the balloon launches that begin at 6:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and as the colorful balloons float through the air, he will be pouring tropical flavored smoothies for everyone to enjoy.
The event is free to the public and begins at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 16th at Turf Valley, a resort hotel located just outside of Baltimore.
